12 Days of Christmas: 12 Amazing Games

Whether to strangers or ones we hold dear, Christmas is a time of expressing love and spreading joy. Here at dkcgaming, the authors wish to express their love as well (their love for video games, anyways)! I’m JoMoDo, and here is my top 12 games of Christmas!

2.) Rune Factory

1.) Spyro The Dragon

“What’s your favorite video game?” – Whenever I’m asked that, I’m instantly brought back to when I was seven, sitting in front of the TV in the playroom with a PS1 controller in my hand while exploring the world of dragons. Spyro was the first game I’ve ever played and I fell in love with it. Fifteen years later, I’m happy to say that our relationship is still strong, and if anything, it’s stronger than ever!

Developed by Insomniac Games in 1998, Spyro the Dragon was praised for it’s visuals and high replay value – which so happens to be the first two things I think of when I’m praising the game. I could seriously pick this game up whenever – I never tire of it nor dread playing it. Running around from one hub world to the next, headbutting innocent sheep for bug food, finding every last gem, scorching any threat that comes in my way (except for the enemies in armor – they’re learning), all the while immersing myself in the great music and the land itself (which really wasn’t bad for its time) – how can I refuse going back to all that?

I hope you enjoyed my list! If there’s any games you’ve never played here, I highly recommend you get your hands on a copy! Also, make sure to heck out Dr. Kendo and StephOfAnime‘s lists! Thanks for reading and I hope you stay toasty this Christmas season!

It was once said that the girl known as JoMoDo was born with a controller in her hand, destined to be the master gamer... Well, not really, and she's actually just a crazy bird lady that likes to play in her free time. But a girl can dream, right?
